Half-day facilitated sitting

Working Agreement Session

A facilitated half day that turns a briefing — ours or yours — into a short written agreement the team can point to when the calendar starts filling again.

Team gathered around a table with notes during a facilitated session

A Working Agreement Session is the last mile. Without it, briefings sit in a drawer while the recurrences quietly return.

We keep the page short on purpose. Teams in mixed-language floors often write the agreement in the language they actually argue in, with an English copy for the sponsor's file if needed.

Who it is for

Teams that already have a briefing, a survey, or a painful month behind them and need a facilitated sitting rather than another slide deck.

What you receive

A one- or two-page working agreement covering meetings, office days, and channel use, signed in the room by those present.

Scope

One team, up to 16 people in the room. Larger groups are split rather than lectured.

Duration

Planning call plus one half day (typically 9:00–13:00, with a proper break).

Where it happens

A room on the client's floor with a door that closes. We do not run this in a pantry.

Fees

From RM 1,800 for a half day in Johor Bahru. Travel beyond the city is quoted with the date.

Included

  • A planning call with the sponsor
  • Half-day facilitation on-site
  • A typed agreement circulated the next working day

Not included

  • New research on the floor
  • Training certificates
  • A standing monthly facilitation retainer unless separately agreed

Sequence

How this study runs

  1. Planning call

We read whatever briefing or notes you already have and refuse a session that has no question to settle.

  2. Half day

Three short decision blocks: meetings, presence, channels. We do not add a fourth block to look busy.

  3. The page

The agreement is short enough to pin beside the coffee point. We type it and send it the next working day.

Who leads it

Facilitated by a Workspace Map Base practitioner. The sponsor stays in the room.

Preparation

A briefing or a one-page list of tensions; a room; the people who will have to live with the agreement, not only their managers.

Limits we will not move

If a key person cannot attend, we reschedule rather than 'cascade' the result. Agreements made in absentia do not hold.

Next step

Propose two half-day dates and say whether a prior briefing exists. If it does not, we may recommend a study first.
