Types we use

Essential. We store your accept or reject choice so the banner does not return on every page load. That storage is first-party and is not used to profile you.

Analytics (optional). Only if you press Accept, we may set a first-party analytics cookie so we can see which pages are read (for example Studies versus Journal). We do not use this to follow you across other websites. If you press Reject, that cookie is not set, and nothing on the site is withheld as a result.

How to manage or disable cookies

Use Accept or Reject on the banner. To change a saved choice, clear site data for workspace-mapbase.digital in your browser settings and reload; the banner will return. You can also block cookies entirely in the browser. Blocking essential storage may make the banner reappear; it will not close the form or the journal.

Third-party cookies

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address and set cookies according to its own policies when those files are fetched. Embedded images are requested from Unsplash’s image network; Unsplash may log that request. We do not place marketing pixels from social networks on these pages. We do not run a third-party advertising cookie.

Impact of disabling

Rejecting optional analytics means we simply do not record which pages you read. The Collaboration Behaviour Review page, the contact form, and the method page all continue to work. If you block all cookies and localStorage, you may see the banner on each visit. That is inconvenient, not a lock-out.
